May 8, 2001 was a very important date in my life.  After 24 years as a successful Life and Health Insurance professional, it had come to the point that to dramatically improve my current income and to also provide for a substantial retirement income, I needed to expand into Property and Casualty Insurance.  For many years I had been trying to obtain a Property and Casualty appointment with a preferred insurance company without success.  On May 8, 2001 I met a representative from Southern Insurance who showed me the Career Builder Program.  I knew right away that this could be the answer to my needs. 

I am now recognized in my community as an established force in the property and casualty insurance business and a good source for automobile, homeowner and business insurance.  I have also established a business that has expanded with the addition of other licensed agents and additional products for all my clients.  

I feel that Southern Insurance wants me to continue to succeed and will continue to provide the strong products, competitive pricing, excellent support from company employees, and great technology to assist me.

The Career Builder Program with Southern Insurance Company of Virginia has changed my life in many ways. My name is Rodney Cole and I am proud to be associated with this program and the many fine people at Southern. I have been in the insurance business for 17 years. The first 11 of those years I sold only life and health insurance and I was very successful doing that. 

I was recruited by a representative with Southern about this new program they had just started called the Career Builder. I was very hesitant to become involved because I had never had any interest in selling Property and Casualty insurance.  However, after speaking with my family and friends, I decided to enter the program.  

One of the best decisions I ever made was to become involved with this program. I am very committed to helping this program work because it is a great opportunity to get into the insurance business with the support of outstanding training and leadership. I completed the program over a year early and my agency has continued to grow.
